JACKSONVILLE, Fla — Tommy Hazouri Jr., the son of Jacksonville City Council president and Mayport elementary teacher, had run-ins with law enforcement before being hired on as a teacher with DCPS.
Hazouri Jr. was arrested on child pornography charges in August. However, records show he was arrested in 2017 in Pensacola for possession of marijuana and again in St. John’s County in 2019 for possession of heroin.
Tommy Hazouri Jr. was arrested for possession of heroin in St. Johns County in 2019.
He was also arrested for possession of marijuana in Pensacola back in 2017, which is before he was hired back on at DCPS as a fourth-grade teacher at Englewood Elementary.
Hazouri Jr. now faces federal child pornography charges.
