Two teens shot outside hotel on Jacksonville’s Westside

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two teenagers were shot outside a Jacksonville hotel early Thursday morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Officers responded to the Hospitality Inn near 103rd Street around 3:40 a.m., where JSO said the teens and their families are guests at.

The two teens told police that a vehicle pulled up in the parking lot and started shooting at them, JSO told Action News Jax.

Police said after being shot, the teenagers ran inside the lobby for help.

They were taken to the hospital and are expected to be OK.

Police said they gave different descriptions of the vehicle.

Officers are looking into any surveillance video at the hotel to see if they could piece together what happened and what led up to the shooting.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office.
