Facebook event encouraging people to boycott Jaguars' next home game

A Facebook group called "Boycott Jacksonville Jaguars" created a Facebook event that plans to boycott the team's next home game against the Los Angeles Rams on October 15.

A Facebook group called "Boycott Jacksonville Jaguars" created a Facebook event calling for fans to stay away from the team's next home game Oct. 15 against the Los Angeles Rams.

The event "Boycott Jags home game against the Rams," was created after some Jaguars players knelt during the national anthem before the team's game against the Baltimore Ravens in London.

Other players, including Marcedes Lewis, linked arms, as did team owner Shad Khan.

The boycott event description reads, "They want to make a statement. We'll make a statement! Boycott the Jaguars. Don't let them humiliate our city."

As of late Tuesday night, 1,500 Facebook users were listed as being "interested" in the event.
