FLEMING ISLAND, Fla. — A local soldier killed in a training incident will be buried Friday.
Funeral services are set for 12 p.m. for Sgt. Tyler Zody at the Westside Baptist Church. He will be buried at Jacksonville National Cemetery with U.S. Army honors.
The 20-year-old graduate of Fleming Island High School died in a crash at Fort Polk in Louisiana last week. Three other soldiers suffered injuries in the crash.
Zody served with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team Rakkasans at Fort Campbell as a Senior Sniper.
