“It’s nice that someone got caught. But it doesn’t change the fact that my mom is no longer with us,” Anthony Luciano said.
He is relieved someone’s been arrested, but he knows this doesn’t bring back his mother.
She died of cancer last year. A box holding the mother’s ashes used to be in their Arlington home. But it was stolen, as well as jewelry and electronics, during a burglary.
Police said Ramos had a lot of their belongings in her motel room, about 13 miles away from Luciano’s home.

According to a police report, Luciano and his fiancé were at a motel on Philips Highway and noticed a man with a speaker box that looked familiar.
They asked him where he got it and he told them it was from a woman staying there. They then asked the man if she had a black and gray DVD case, and found out she did.
Luciano then called police.
"Next thing we know, they basically brought almost every other item we were missing out of her hotel room, besides our mother's ashes," Cende Jas. Luciano's fiancee said.
“I just want her home, that’s all I want,” Luciano said.
The family is still hopeful their mother isn’t gone forever.
“That’s all I can hope for. I’m hoping someone will see anything of this (and say), 'Oh, hey, I found this,' and bring it to somebody,” he said.
