JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Surveillance footage shows the last moments of 20-year-old Shelby Farah’s life -- moments before police say James Rhodes walked in, robbed the store and shot her to death.
Her mother, Darlene Farah, always had a bad feeling about this store.
“I wish she would've never gotten that store. It'll be like that the rest of my life,” Farah said.
But Farah doesn’t only blame Rhodes for her daughter's death.
Her attorney, Galen Bauer, has now filed a lawsuit, alleging Metro PCS is also responsible.
“It's time for MetroPCS to get its head out of the sand to realize it has a problem -- to answer this wake-up call and to do something to protect its employees,” Bauer said.

“Other stores had a silent alarm, which there was none there," Bauer said. "Other stores also had a door-lock device."
For Darlene Farah and her two surviving children, the last two years have been nothing but heartache.
“Today is my birthday, and I would give anything in the world to just hear her voice, to hug her again,” Farah said.
Bauer says this lawsuit is meant to send a strong message.
"How many young people are you going to allow to be murdered before you do something about it?” Bauer said.
T-Mobile is also being sued -- it merged with MetroPCS in 2013. T-Mobile released the following statement:
"This senseless act of violence at an authorized MetroPCS dealer store was tragic. While our sympathies remain with the family, we are unable to comment further while litigation is pending."
