FHP: St. Augustine man killed in motorcycle crash on US-1

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — A St. Augustine man died at the scene of a crash on US-1 at Moses Creek Boulevard Sunday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Troopers identified him as Brandon Carter, 20.

Officials say at 8:58 p.m., a Jeep Wrangler attempted to make a U-turn when Carter, who was the rider of a motorcycle, struck the Jeep and caught fire.

The driver and passenger of the Jeep was taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Carter was wearing a helmet, a FHP traffic report stated.

The Florida Highway Patrol reported a fatal crash in St. Johns County on US-1 near Moses Creek Boulevard.
