A motorcycle rider is in critical condition Thursday evening after officials say sun glare may have contributed to the crash.

On Mar. 23, the Florida Highway Patrol said that a motorcycle traveling westbound on State Road 20 lost control and exited the roadway to the left. The motorcycle than entered the center grass median and overturned. The rider, a 67-year-old man from Michigan, was thrown from his bike.
The motorcycle came to a final rest on its left side in the eastbound lanes.
FHP said that the cause of the crash might have been from rider’s vision obscured from the glare of the sun.
The rider was not wearing a helmet.
