PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — Guests at a Riverfront Resort in Palatka were forced outside the units for hours Friday morning.
A fire broke out in the Crystal Cove Resort restaurant, which is located on the St. Johns River on the north side of town. The restaurant just reopened after a series of renovations.
The Palatka Fire Department said crews got the call from the front desk around 2 a.m. An employee said the lobby was filling up with smoke.
