JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — This morning gusty winds continue coming from the Atlantic where coastal locations are recording 30-35 mph wind gusts.
- The onshore wind is continuing to stream clouds overhead, which will likely limit local viewing of this morning’s SpaceX launch planned for 6:30 AM.
- The onshore wind is also having a significant impact on temperatures. Coastal locations are in the low 70s and inland locations are in the low 50s.
- The onshore wind is occasionally producing very light showers over parts of St. Johns and Putnam counties.
- Today will be slightly warmer than yesterday in the lower to middle 70s with more breaks in the clouds by the afternoon.
- Tonight will be chilly, especially inland as skies start to clear. Lows inland will range in the upper 40s/low 50s with 50s and 60s along the coast.
- A lot of sunshine will occur this week with comfortable fall temperatures.
- A few showers return to more of the area by the weekend.
- Onshore flow continues all week long, prolonging the risk for rip currents, rough and dangerous surf, beach erosion around high tide, and minor coastal flooding.

- No active storms.
- One area of low pressure will be watched offshore the Mid-Atlantic coast this week for some gradual subtropical development. No threat to us.
