JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect for the forecast:

  • Hot temps. & isolated to widely scattered but locally heavy storms will be the weather story over the weekend.  Highs will be in the 90s with feel-like temps. 105-110.  Beware of skies suddenly going from sunny to stormy in some areas.
  • The heat continues into next week with near-record highs of 95-100, along with isolated afternoon storms Monday that will increase some the rest of the week.

Tropics:

  • Tracking: (1) A tropical wave will move into the Caribbean Saturday with a few squalls but tropical development is not expected … (2) another wave over the Eastern Atlantic is moving into the Central Atlantic but will also battle increasing shear so long term development is unlikely….(3) a strong wave is moving off the coast of Africa… (4) Central Pacific: tropical storm “Lala” will near the Big Island of Hawaii Saturday as a strong tropical storm or Cat. 1 hurricane while moving W/NW.
