JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect for the forecast:
- This afternoon is warm with heavy showers and a few storms pushing offshore Duval and St. Johns Counties.
- A few showers persist over inland southeast Georgia and will linger through the remainder of the afternoon.
- The Jags preseason game tonight will be mainly if not completely dry, partly to mostly cloudy and warm.
- This weekend will be seasonally hot with highs each day in the low 90s.
- Saturday has a higher chance of afternoon storms compared to Sunday.
- Weekend storms could be locally heavy with torrential rain, frequent lightning, and gusty winds.
