JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect in the forecast:
- Persistent east winds off the ocean are again pushing westward-moving bands of showers & isolated t’storms, which will diminish overnight. Lows in the 70s.
- Winds start to become more southerly Friday with scattered mainly afternoon showers & t’storms developing with highs in the 80s to low 90s.
- The holiday weekend will be hot & humid with scattered afternoon & evening showers & storms each day. On Labor Day, winds will switch to out of the east by later in the day, pushing rainfall inland. Highs will be 90-95 Saturday & Sunday & in the 80s at the beaches to 90 inland Monday.
