Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect for the forecast:
- Scattered heavy storms just inland from the beaches through early this evening will spread more inland with time before gradually ending before sunset for most areas.
- A warm and muggy Friday night with lows in the 70s to around 80.
- Saturday will be hot with a few afternoon and early evening showers & storms but plenty of dry hours. High temps. will reach 90-95.
- Sunday begins hot with sun, then scattered afternoon & evening storms, but not before temps. return to the low to mid 90s.
- The most widespread rain of the weekend looks to be on Labor Day as numerous mid-day & afternoon heavy showers & storms develop, slowly shifting more inland through the evening.
- Respect Mother Nature and move inside when you see lightning or hear thunder.
- Be aware of the potential for localized flooding over the weekend during the heaviest storms.
