Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect for the forecast:
- Localized heavy rain brought some neighborhoods 1-2″ of rain
- St. Johns and Clay Counties saw the heaviest rain
- Storms have pushed west of I-75 as we watch for isolated showers to stream back onshore
- We have to watch the coast for rain Monday morning, especially in Southeast GA
- Rain and storms once again will shift inland through the day
- Temps get back into the mid to upper 80s
- We’ll see this weather pattern through Wednesday, and then here come some changes
- Onshore winds surge back in Thursday and we’ll still see a few showers
- Rain chances drop beginning Friday and next weekend looks completely dry
- Temperatures will go down slightly, too
- We’re tracking morning lows in the 60s this weekend, feeling a touch more like Fall
TROPICS
- Tropical Storm Fay is 2000+ miles away from Jacksonville
- It’s forecast to become a hurricane, which would be the first of the season
- Fay is not coming to the U.S. and there are no other areas of concern
