First Alert Weather: Very hot days persist with a few storms

Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect for the forecast:

• This morning is mild with temperatures in the 70s and dry under partly cloudy skies.
• Another very hot day is underway, with highs that will rise through the middle and upper 90s. Feels like temperatures will range from 105-110+.
• A few afternoon storms are expected, but they should be rather hit or miss, with many spots staying mostly/totally dry today.
• Storms, some strong, could linger across inland areas into Georgia through midnight tonight.
• Sunday will be similar to today with heat and rain chances.
• Near record heat continues early next week, with daily highs in the middle and upper 90s, and feels-like temperatures 105-110+.
• Some afternoon storms are possible each day, with higher coverage expected to return by mid-week.

TROPICS:

• Areas of interest in the Atlantic continue to struggle and will likely not develop.
• Tropical Storm Lala in the central Pacific is nearing hurricane intensity and will impact Hawaii this weekend.
