Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect for the forecast:
- Rain & storms are pushing out of the Jax Metro this evening
- A few more storms will develop near & north of I-10 & the FL/GA border
- Storms will drift toward I-10 & NE FL through sunset before fading
- Monday will be hot again with a few storms, mainly in NE FL
- Onshore winds pick up late Monday into Tuesday, lasting all week
- Temps will cool slightly thanks to the east winds
- We’ll see clouds and showers at times, especially near the coast & in NE Florida
- We’ll see rough seas & surf and a high rip current risk at all area beaches
- Winds turn more E/SE by Saturday & Sunday, allowing us to get slightly warmer
TROPICS
- A low pressure area in the Central Atlantic is tracking west-northwest
- This area is far away from the U.S.
- Conditions get slightly more favorable for development the next couple of days
- Development or not, this thing will not threaten the U.S.
- There are no other areas to watch
