Here’s what the First Alert Weather Team said you can expect for the forecast:
- A strong cold front is passing through our area early this Saturday morning.
- The front is mainly dry, but there will be a few brief showers along it this morning. Some drizzle may linger into the afternoon.
- A sharp wind shift will occur behind the front, becoming breezy area-wide today.
- Temperatures will be much cooler than yesterday’s high of 88 degrees in Jax.
- Today, temperatures in the low-mid 70s to start will stay the same or cool slightly to near 70 by the afternoon.
- Wind gusts will increase to near 30 mph by the end of today.
- Sunday will be cool and windy with a brief shower. Highs will be on either side of 70 degrees and a few wind gusts above 40 mph are possible.
- Very rough seas and surf will develop and persist for several days. A high risk of rip currents, high surf advisory, and gale warning are all in effect.
- Mornings will be cool, but temperatures will have a large spread. Inland SE GA will be in the upper 40s the next several mornings, inland NE FL will be solidly in the low to mid-50s, the St. Johns River basin will likely be in the upper 50s to near 60, and the Atlantic coast will be in the 60s to low 70s with the strong onshore wind.
- The cooler stretch of weather continues through next week with no significant rain.

TROPICS:
- Nothing.
- Non-tropical low pressure will develop offshore the Carolinas this weekend and may attempt at some subtropical development next week as it moves away from the U.S.
