Fleming Island student only one of two Florida representatives selected in U.S. Senate Youth Program

Brady White was one of two Florida high school students selected to an exclusive government program.

FLEMMING ISLAND, Fla. — Fleming Island is proud today after one of its High School students was selected as part of an exclusive program.

Fleming Island High School senior Brady White was selected as one of only two Florida representatives in the 2023 United States Senate Youth Program scholarship competition.

Established in 1962, the youth program helps excelling high school students interested in government to pursue public service.

According to the United States Senate Youth Program website, “the mission of the United States Youth Program is to provide a yearly opportunity for selected students to gain an in-depth view of the Senate and the federal government overall as well as a deeper understanding of the interrelationship of the legislation, judicial and executive branch. The program provides a foundation of knowledge and encouragement for those considering a future of public service on the local, state or national level.”
