Flooding in Jacksonville's Springfield neighborhood frustrates neighbors

Flooding problems are frustrating people in one local neighborhood — and they want the city of Jacksonville to do something about it.

The intersection of 7th and Silver streets has had it particularly bad, according to neighbors. After Wednesday’s heavy rain, neighbors posted pictures of the their flooded streets and asked where is the relief?

Action News Jax submitted a list of questions to the city of Jacksonville about the flooding problems, including, when was the last time the storm drains were cleared. We will update you with the city’s response.

In the meantime, neighbors want the answers now.

“What’s taken so long? Help us out. We are Springfield, your historic neighborhood here … just give us some attention. We’ve given you all of ours, I believe,” said one neighbor.
