JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Florida-Georgia game is only part of the storied rivalry that dates back to 1915. The other part is The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party, and fans said it never disappoints.
A sea of thousands in orange and blue, and black and red gathered around EverBank field for the annual Florida-Georgia football game held at EverBank Field every October.
Fans made sure they stayed well fed, and showed their spirit in all sorts of ways.
Scott Fogarty was just one of the thousands of fans who didn’t come just for a game, but for the fun and overall atmosphere. Fogarty showed off his prosthetic leg Saturday in support of the Georgia Bulldogs.
“The truth is, I was fighting this gator, and he turned out to be shoes and a handbag,” Fogarty said.

He later said a flesh-eating bacteria took his leg four years ago, and he was lucky it didn't take his life. Fogarty doesn’t let it get him down.
“You have to always remember someone else always has it worse. You can't ask for a pity party,” Fogarty said.
Howaida Mousa is a Gators fan who brings his family to the game every year.
“This is a big tradition for us and our family. We do this every year. Many, many years we've been doing this,” Mousa said.
Another Florida fan, Chris Sharp, had a large gator and flamingos lining his tailgating spot. He said they were for protection.
“We've got some orange and blue flamingos. We've got a 12-foot gator coming out from under the TV,” Sharp said. “Things to keep Bulldogs away.”
Fans inside EverBank Field saw the Gators beat the Bulldogs 27-3. Fogarty says that’s only part of the fun, the other part is the enjoying the time spent with family and friends.
“You have to get out and live life the best you can,” Fogarty said. “This is how you do it right here -- with all your friends.”
