JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The 35th Annual Community Nutcracker will take place Dec. 11 and Dec. 12 at the Florida Theatre. General public ticket sales for the production begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11.
The production is a nonprofit, volunteer-run performance. More than 200 dancers, ages 9 to adult, from across Northeast Florida are participating in this year’s shows.
In addition to the stage performances, the production donates a portion of its proceeds to local charitable organizations, including Dreams Come True. Over the past 34 years, the organization has contributed more than $1 million to community causes.
The event features three scheduled showtimes at the Florida Theatre. An evening performance takes place at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, followed by shows at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12. Presale ticket access for Florida Theatre members begins Wednesday, Sept. 9. Cameo members receive access at 10 a.m., followed by Ensemble and Stars & Stripes members at 2 p.m. Chorus and E-Club members can purchase presale tickets starting at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, using the code “SUGARPLUM”.
General public ticket sales open at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11, through the Florida Theatre box office.
