Former Jaguars wide receiver Matthew A. Cherry directs 2 episodes of CBS hit show ‘Ghosts’

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — There’s another #DUUUVAL connection to a hit CBS show.

Former Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver and Academy Award winning filmmaker Matthew A. Cherry directed the episode of “Ghosts” that aired on Thursday night.

Asher Grodman, who plays Trevor on the show, is a Jags super fan and surprised Cherry by wearing his jersey on the set.

Cherry directed another episode of “Ghosts” as well.

Grodman is a regular at Jags home games. He visited the Action News Jax studios in November and gave us a hint about Cherry’s involvement in the episode.

“Ghosts” airs on Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. on CBS47.
