JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — An arrest of four teens in connection to a gun store burglary also helped solve the robbery of a 77-year-old woman.

Police say that four teens broke into St. Nichols Gun on January 23 and stole eight guns - six pistols and two riffles.

An employee of the gun store pulled into the parking lot and saw the four teens flee. The employee gave police a description of the four teens. During a canvas of the area, police found two boys that matched the description of the teens. During a foot pursuit, one of the teens were arrested. The other three teens were arrested later that day.

The teens were identified as a 16-year-old, a 15-year-old and two 13-year-olds. WOKV is not naming the suspects due to their age and the severity of the crimes. All were charged with burglary and causing damage in excess of $1,000. Both charges are first-degree felonies.

The two 13-year-olds were later identified as the suspects involved in robbing a 77-year-old at a Walmart parking lot six days before the burglary.

The woman was about to get into her car when one of the teens went up to her. He then grabbed her keys and the two ran off. Her keys had both her car key and her house key.

The two 13-year-olds were also charged with robbery/sudden snatching a third-degree felony.

It will be up to the State Attorney’s Office if the teens get charged as adults.
