PONTE VEDRA, Fla. — The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office is responding to a ruptured gas line Wednesday morning.
Officers with the SJCSO responded around 7:45 a.m. to the 200 block of Palm Breeze Drive in Ponte Vedra, which is near the intersection of Nocatee Village Drive and Crosswater Parkway.
St. Johns County Fire Rescue secured the area around the leak and worked with the gas company on the scene to stop the leak.
SJFR blocked traffic and encouraged people to avoid the area while crews worked.
Crews were able to stop the leak at about 8:40 a.m. and the gas company capped the leak.
