JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Police are searching for the man who robbed a Riverside restaurant and its customers at gunpoint.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded around 8:25 p.m. Thursday to the incident at Pattaya Thai on King Street at the corner of Herschel Street.
The owner told Action News Jax the man walked in during business hours, acted like a customer and then started demanding money. He then ran from the store when he got what he wanted, the owner said.
Surveillance video Action News Jax obtained shows a man armed with a gun in the restaurant full of people. He proceeds to take the tip jar and a few customers' wallets before leaving.
The man in the video appears to have facial hair and wearing a white T-shirt and white hat.

Clayton said despite everyone being shaken up, they still had a job to do, so the restaurant stayed open even hours after the incident.
"We were just running the business as usual," said Russell Clayton, Owner and Chef. "This is a small family business so we had customers here, we had orders to fill.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS. You can remain anonymous and receive a possible reward of up to $3,000.
"I know Karma is going to find you," Clayston said. "We're a family business and we've been doing this for years. We're honest people. It'll eventually catch up to whoever did this."
