WICHITA, Kan. — A Jacksonville murder suspect is in critical condition following an out-of-state shootout with U.S. Marshals.
The suspect was found in Wichita, Kansas.

Police say the suspect ran and crashed a car into a home when Marshals tried to arrest him.
Investigators say a shootout started and the suspect shot himself.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said it has been made aware of an incident involving a 2015 murder suspect. JSO said the murder suspect was connected to a Sept. 5, 2015, murder that happened at the Candlewood Suites in Arlington on Jane Street.

At the time, police identified the victim in the murder as Johnny M. Mooney, 39, of Cincinnati.

Two women and one man were seen fleeing the hotel at the time of the murder in a silver Kia Optima, according to police.

JSO said it is not releasing suspect's name due to the investigation being active.
