JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad responded Tuesday night to a reported suspicious item at the Clubhouse of Wynfield Lakes Aprtments.
Law enforcement responded to the 12300 block of Wynnfield Lakes Drive, just south of Atlantic and Kernan boulevards.
Officials found the device and evacuated the adjacent apartment buildings.
The bomb squad's investigation revealed that the device did not have any explosive hazards, JSO said.
It is not known what the device is. The investigation is ongoing.
