City Council President Nick Howland sent Action News Jax the following statement about Ford being served a subpoena, and what will be addressed during Council meetings on Friday mornings about Ford’s testimony:
“This morning JSO served Nat Ford with a subpoena to testify before tomorrow’s special Finance Committee meeting. Mr. Ford promptly responded, expressing his willingness to cooperate. Although he is unavailable tomorrow, we will coordinate a mutually agreeable date for his testimony, either in person or virtually.
“Tomorrow morning’s special meeting is expected to be brief. We will reiterate the above and designate a committee member to coordinate further details with Mr. Ford.”
