A penalty by Riley Moss negated a sack-fumble of Lawrence recovered by Denver in Jacksonville territory.
The Broncos offense behind Bo Nix (5-for-8, 24 yards) also failed to produce points in the quarter.
As the quarter ended, Lawrence hit TD Brendon Strange for a first down at the Denver 47.
