JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded Tuesday night to a reported fire at the University of North Florida Aquatics Center.
JFRD dispatch confirms that units responded at 9:29 p.m. Tuesday.
According to crews at the scene, roofing material in a small area of the building caught fire, but the cause is not yet known.
Due to the height of the roof, JFRD couldn't get its ladder close to reach the roof of the building, so firefighters used construction machinery at the site to reach the fire.
