JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — In recognition of International Guitar Month, the Jacksonville Historical Society is organizing a Speaker Series program on the history of guitar in 20th Century Jacksonville.
STORY: DCPS providing free laptops and hotspots for students in need
The event will take place April 14 at Old St. Andrews Church and will feature special guests like local musician Eddy Cotton.
Cotton and fellow guitarists will share the historical context of vintage guitars and accessories on display as he plays era- and genre-specific songs, sharing how guitars, players and styles shaped his life and career as a regional performer and musical historian.

The evening begins with light refreshments and a meet and greet at 6 p.m. The program begins at 7 p.m.
Active members of JHS may attend for free!
Community members are encouraged to RSVP by April 12 but walk-ins are always welcome.
Parking will be available in the grass lot next to the ballpark.
