JSO: 2 people shot by unknown assailant on Art Museum Dr.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — JSO responded to a shooting early Sunday morning on the 1600 block of Art Museum Dr.

The shooting occurred at approximately 1 a.m.

While they were at the scene, JSO dispatch was informed the adult male victims had checked themselves into a local hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The ages of the victims and the number of gunshot wounds they each received are currently unknown.

It is early in the investigation, but it appears that an unknown individual approached the victims and there was a dispute that led to the suspect shooting the victims. The suspect is described as an adult Black male.

When asked about the potential threat to the community, JSO said they believe it to be an isolated incident.
