DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and Crime Stoppers held a news conference Tuesday at 10 a.m. in reference to a June fatal shooting.
They are asking the public's help for information into the death of 55-year-old Joseph Ross, who died on June 30.
JSO said Ross died from a gunshot wound. A JTA bus driver found Ross at a Lane Avenue bus stop.
Ross' girlfriend, Debbie Watkins, says he left behind a 6-year-old daughter Jessica. She pled for someone to come forward with information, and said an arrest would closure to his family.
"He needs to pay. He needs to go to jail for what he did. He left this little girl- his daughter," said Watkins.
Crime Stoppers is offering a $3,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in this case. Anyone who has any information in regard to this incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
JSO spokesperson said going for months without an arrest is "extremely frustrating."
