JSO investigating brother and sister found dead in home as double murder

Jacksonville police are investigating a brother and sister found dead inside a home on Tuesday night as a double murder.

Rescue crews found a woman, 55-year-old Sharon Faye Lamb, unresponsive in a home on Collins Ridge Road.

JSO said during further inspection of the home, an unresponsive male, 52-year-old Michael Ray Lamb, was found.

“Bit of a surprise to hear that something like that happened. Yeah, that’s’ scary,” neighbor James Bowen said.

Officials said that both people died inside the home and foul play is suspected, though they were unable to give details on the extent of the injuries of both victims.

On Wednesday afternoon, JSO said it is now investigating the siblings' deaths as a double murder.

JSO said it has in its possession two vehicles a red Ford Escort and a green Ford Explorer that may have been involved in the crime. The vehicles may have been in the Collins Road area between Sunday and Tuesday. The occupants of those vehicles may be involved in the murders, police said.

Other neighbors tell Action News Jax they have seen the red car in the driveway several times and say it belongs to a family member. And recently, someone driving that car was arguing with one of the siblings, neighbors said.

“I hope somebody comes through and you know says something, gets this to stop,” says Bowen.

Anyone who has any information in regards to the identity of the suspect is asked to contact JSO at 904-630-0500 or email JSOCrimeTips@jaxsheriff.org. To remain anonymous and receive a possible reward up to $3,000 contact Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
