The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating a death in Spring Glen area of Jacksonville.
According to officers the investigation is on Wilmin Way near Spring Glen Road.
The Sheriff's Office said it responded to the 5500 block of Wilmin Way around 2:45 p.m. for a report of a person shot.
Officers found a man in his late twenties or early thirties suffering from a gunshot wound in the front yard of a house, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Rescue crews arrived at the scene and pronounced the victim deceased, according to police.
Police said they have detained three individuals at the scene who are being transported downtown for interviews.
