JSO: Jacksonville 15-year-old shot and killed Friday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jacksonville teenager was shot and killed on Friday night in the Englewood neighborhood, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Just before 9:30 p.m., police say they found the 15-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper abdomen when they arrived to the scene on Grant Road.

JSO said the teen was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died.

At this time, police say no suspect is in custody and investigators are working to determine what led up to the shooting. They are also looking into nearby cameras that may have recorded the minutes before the teenager was shot.
