JSO: Young girl shot in hand in altercation at EZ Stop on Kings Rd.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reported a shooting Sunday night at the EZ Stop at 2015 Kings Rd.

At approximately 9 p.m., officers responded to the location and located an underaged girl with a gunshot wound to her hand. She was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit are investigating the case and speaking with witnesses. Investigators believe that the incident appears to be the result of an altercation that took place inside the store between several people.

There is no suspect information at this time.
