JACKSONVILLE, Fla — Amazon Jax 5 and Warriors and Whiskey were among 6 teams competing in the 3rd annual Steals and Slides: Kicking out Homelessness tournament benefiting the Clara White Mission.

The Horne Foundation raised $2,500 to feed the homeless and educate people about food scarcity issues in Jacksonville. That equals 800 meals the Clara White Mission and feed people living on the streets. The tournament-style single-elimination game took place Saturday morning at Ray Greene Park.
This year there were several first-time players kicking out homelessness during the tournament. First time players included tournament winner Jax Fray a local adult sports club they beat Smokin Aces 9-0. Amazon Jax 5 has been a frequent community partner contributing to several programs at the Clara White Mission.
So has Warriors and Whiskey, a Veteran focused entertainment business.

Joketra Hall, Miss Tallahassee Caribbean Carnival Queen (2019-2021) started the foundation two years ago in honor of her father who inspired her to be a community servant and give back.
In 2021 Hall launched the Steals and Slides kickball tournament in three cities: Jacksonville Tallahassee and her hometown Pensacola. Each year She has partnered with the Clara White Mission and has contributed thousands of dollars to the mission’s feeding program.

The Clara White Mission has a 119-year history, founded in the early 1900′s by humanitarian and Jacksonville native Eartha White.
CWM helps Jacksonville’s homeless veterans and low-income people by offering hot meals, transitional housing and workforce solutions. The mission operates as a one-stop community development facility 7-days a week.
