JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — "It's very hard. I'm lost without her. I can't talk," said Kylie Simmons.
Megan Simmons' mother, Kylie Simmons, said she and her family are still filled with pain.
Megan 14, and her best friend, Jazmine Shelton, 13 were shot and killed in a drive-by shooting at Jazmine's home about 14 months ago.
The killer or killers responsible for the teens' deaths have not been found.
Megan's grandfather Roland Cheshire is begging for answers.
"I just want them apprehended and punished for what they did, for stealing these two innocent girls' lives," said Roland Cheshire.
Crime prevention group MAD DADS, the teens' families and other families of homicide victims walked the neighborhood looking for information.
Megan's father is holding out hope for justice.
"We just keeping hope, keeping faith," said Steven Cheshire.
There is still a sign for a $5,000 reward posted on a tree near where the girls were killed in August 2013.
"I'll even get the reward up more if somebody would just come out," said Karen Pippins, Megan's grandmother.
Megan's family said they know just getting information can't bring the teens back, but they say it could certainly help in bringing their killers to justice.
"She was my heart and we miss her so bad. Some way, somewhere we're going to find out who did this," said Pippins.
