JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — An arrest has been made in a cold-case murder investigation from 1993, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. JSO began investigating the disappearance of Bonnie Haim on Jan. 7, 1993. Investigators found Haim's car near the Jacksonville International Airport.
Haim’s son Aaron won a wrongful death lawsuit against his father, Michael Haim. State Attorney Angela Corey said Aaron continually reminded her of his mother’s case.
Workers found remains at the Haim family's former home on Dolphin Avenue in December 2014.

The remains were identified in August 2015 as those of Bonnie Haim.
An arrest warrant was issued for Michael Haim.
Michael Haim was arrested in Waynesville, North Carolina. JSO is working to get him extradited to Jacksonville.
“We’re at a point where we can seek justice,” Corey said. She also said evidence in the case will be circumstantial and there will not be a guaranteed conviction.
