Man shot in the stomach after a dispute near Arlington Expressway

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Police responded to reports of a shooting at Summer Oak apartments at 5350 Arlington Expressway around 5:20 p.m. Sunday.

Police arrived at the apartment complex, and found a 35-year-old black man who had been shot in the stomach.

The victim was transported to UF Health with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said a dispute led to the shooting. The suspect, who police say is a man in his late teens or early 20s, is the person involved in that dispute. No further information was given by officials. 

The Violent Crimes Task Force responded to the shooting and is taking the lead on the investigation.
