Multiple detours planned for next week at the I-10/I-95 interchange improvements project

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Florida Department of Transportation’s I-10/I-95 Operational Improvements project continues into next week, as there will be multiple overnight detours.

The Interstate 95 south detour will begin on Monday, Sept. 19 and will last until Thursday, Sept. 22 from 10:30 p.m. until 5:30 a.m and on Friday, Sept. 23 from 10:30 p.m. until 6:30 a.m.

Drivers heading southbound on I-95 will be detoured to the Forest Street exit, left on Forest Street and left on Riverside Avenue to the Acosta Bridge to rejoin I-95 southbound.

I-95 North to I-10 West Flyover

The I-95 North to I-10 West Flyover will begin on Monday, Sept. 19 through Thursday, Sept. 22 from 10:30 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. and Friday, Sept. 23 from 10:30 p.m. until 6:30 a.m. Drivers heading north on I-95 who wish to take I-10 west will be detoured to the Park Street exit.

FDOT is advising that at the bottom of the ramp, drivers will need to turn right on Park Street, left on Forest Street, left on Edison Avenue, left on Stockton Street and left on Irene Street to access the I-10 west ramp. A map is attached below to help clarify these turn-by-turn directions.

I-95 North to I-10 West Flyover

FDOT says that they hired Archer Western to complete this $126 million project in the fall of 2022, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.
