The City of Jacksonville passed laws effectively banning the businesses in 2019.
“It’s not good for any community,” said Darylene Butler, a Nassau County resident. “But I certainly don’t want it in a town I’ve lived in for 25 years.”

On Monday, Nassau County Commissioners presented an ordinance to ban the arcades in the county and revealed the findings of undercover deputies. Investigators reported being offered sex at an adult arcade during their investigation.
Commissioner Justin Taylor tells us the break-in at Spin City, in addition to other crimes linked to arcades in the county, will be considered by commissioners when a decision is made.
“When we’re seeing an industry that is bringing a level of crime, such as what this industry is doing, I think that will certainly influence our decision,” said Taylor.
