JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Work is underway at EverBank Field, where crews are replacing plastic club seating with padded leather seats.
Boards of wood are protecting the field from the heavy machinery brought in for construction.
Crews ripped out 2,700 blue plastic seats in the lower bowl to make room for the new seats.
“The other clubs will be slightly different in interior décor, which gives us the opportunity to appeal to different demographics,” said Chad Johnson, Jaguars senior vice president of sales and service. “You see a different audience in the east versus west club right now when you look at who is there.
Jaguars officials said the clubs on the east and west sides of the field will have their own unique feel.
They said they expect both the clubs to sell out for the 2016 season.
