DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. — Two crashes on Interstate 295 northbound at Normandy Boulevard closed lanes on Monday afternoon.
The first crash involved a vehicle and a flatbed tractor-trailer. The vehicle made an improper lane change in front of the tractor-trailer and caused a crash that blocked the left lane, according to Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Dylan Bryan.
The second crash involved another vehicle and an unmarked police car. The unmarked police car rear-ended the vehicle, which was slowed for the traffic ahead. The individual in this vehicle was transported to a local hospital with very minor injuries.
The second crash was in the emergency lane and not blocking traffic.
