JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A 17-year-old is recovering after being shot Monday night in Moncrief.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded just before 9 p.m. to Pearce Street and W. 34th Street.
Police said a girl was shot in the leg while in a passenger seat of a vehicle in the area. She was taken to UF Health Jacksonville for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
It is not known if the 17-year-old was the intended target. JSO is continuing to investigate.
