JSO: 17-year-old shot, injured in Brooklyn area shooting

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported shooting in the Brooklyn area at 7600 Price Street.

JSO reported that around 2:00 p.m. Officers responded to the scene due to reported gunfire.

When arriving, Officers found at least two vehicles struck by gunfire. Multiple witnesses at the scene reported this detail as well.

At the same time, JSO reported that a 17-year-old showed up at a local hospital suffering a gunshot wound to the lower extremity. He is in stable condition.

There was only one victim from the scene.

No suspect information is known at this time and any possible relationship to the victim. JSO believes that more than one person was involved in this shooting, and is investigating how they fled the scene.

JSO reported that it is unknown what led up to the shooting. No weapon was recovered at the scene.
