Police investigating threat involving ‘realistic-looking replica firearm’ at Oakleaf High on Friday

Clay County Sheriff’s Office called it an isolated threat; say they’ve accounted for and interviewed all “students/parties” involved

Police investigating how a replica handgun showed up at Oakleaf High School on Friday.

ORANGE PARK, Fla. — Police are investigating what they called an isolated threat that involved a “realistic-looking replica firearm” that showed up at Oakleaf High School on Friday.

“We’re aware of and investigating an isolated threat that occurred today at Oakleaf High School,” said a post on Clay County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page. “All students/parties involved have been accounted for and interviewed.”

Police said they’re working with the State Attorney’s Office and Clay County District Schools to learn more.

“More information will be released when it’s available,” police said.

Action News Jax contacted Clay County District Schools officials for details of the incident, but have not heard back.
