Puppy from St. Marys will participate in the annual Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl

A rescue puppy from Georgia is going to take part in the 19th annual Puppy Bowl on Feb. 2.

The puppy, named Chickpea, will be competing in the football puppy madness.

Puppy bowl is a competition of adoptable puppies playing to win their forever homes .

Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl collaborates with 67 shelters and rescue workers to bring together 122 puppies to promote their adoptions.

The puppy bowl will begin at 2 p.m. on the Animal Planet channel.
